On May 6, the 13th Student Congress of Shanghai University of Electric Power was held at auditorium of Pudong Campus. Li Yanling, Vice Chair of the University Council, attended the congress and delivered an important speech.
The new student union presidium and permanent committee of student representatives were chosen by secret ballot in marginal election. Tan Tianqi was elected as President ofStudent Union. Wang Zhihan, Mei Yingshan, Xie Hongjie and other 2 students were elected as Vice Presidents. Guo Jiajing and other 24 students were elected as members of permanent committee of student representatives.
The congress pointed out the direction of work for student union, guiding the new leadership to make a fresh start on campus.
