SUEP Greeted the Undergraduate Teaching Review and Evaluation Expert Group

    On the morning of December 3rd, SUEP held a meeting to greet Shanghai undergraduate teaching review and evaluation expert group on Yangpu campus. The meeting was divided into two parts. The first part was presided over by Sang Biao, director of the Higher Education Department of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. In this part, Feng Hui, Party secretary of Shanghai Education Evaluation Institute, introduced the members of the expert group. Li Mingfu, Party secretary of SUEP, delivered a welcome speech. Ping Hui, inspector-general of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, made a speech on behalf of the Commission and highly appraised the school’s educational policy, philosophy and talent training quality.

    The second part was presided over by Ding Xiaodong, president of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and leader of the expert group. Li Hexing, president of our school, made a review and evaluation report and introduced the basic situations of undergraduate talent cultivation in our school. He said that the review and evaluation were not only a review of the school's work, but also an opportunity for the school's development. Ding Xiaodong explained the working arrangements, methods and requirements for this evaluation. The expert group would conduct a comprehensive and deep investigation of the school's undergraduate education by such ways as carrying out in-depth interviews, listening to or watching classes, visiting inside and outside the campus, checking students' examination papers, graduation design and evaluation supporting materials in order to fully understand the situations and make a fair and objective evaluation, thus putting forward beneficial opinions and suggestions for the development of SUEP.

    After the meeting, the expert group mainly inspected Comprehensive Simulation Laboratory of Modern Urban Power Grid, Mathematical Modeling Laboratory, Smart Grid Demonstration Center, Shanghai Engineering Research Center of Intelligent Management and Control for Power Process and so on.
