Athletes of SUEP won two gold, two silver and three bronze medals at the 25th All China University Fencing Championship. The championship was held at Xiamen University from November 22 to November 26. 705 fencing athletes from 52 universities, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, University of Macau, Beijing Sport University and SUEP, took part in the individual and team foil, epee and sabre competitions.
In the individual competitions on November 22, Lu Yang and Jin Huangjia from SUEP won the gold medals in Men’s Sabre and Men’s Epee respectively. Especially, Jin Huangjia overcame his injuries and defeated the fencer from Tsinghua University and won the first prize. The athletes from SUEP also achieved good results in the team competitions on November 26. They successively got the 2nd place in Women’s Team Sabre and Women’s Team Foil, and got the 4th place in Women’s Team Epee, Men’s Team Epee and Men’s Team Sabre.
During the 5-day competition, athletes from our school fearlessly and bravely competed with outstanding players from universities across the country, showing the spirit of SUEP’s athletes and winning honor for the school.
