On December 13, the first annual meeting of Sino-foreign people-to-people exchanges in higher education (Global University Alliance) was held in the Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbor. More than 200 representatives of colleges and universities across the country gathered in Xianyang for discussions and exchanges.
Focusing on the theme of “the role of international alliance in industry-university-research cooperation and industry-education integration”, Xu Kai, the vice president of SUEP, expounded the school’s ideas, thoughts and practice on the construction of Global University Alliance. He pointed out that the school has carried out the “321 Project” in recent years, that is to say, the school initiated the establishment of 3 international alliances, constructed 2 training bases, and created 1 research platform. And relying on the alliances, SUEP conducted strategic research on global energy interconnection, and trained international senior talents in energy and power industry for 25 countries along the “Belt and Road”.
Du Kewei, director of China Center for International People-to-People Exchange of Ministry of Education, hoped that the annual meeting can be built as a platform of communication, cooperation and mutual learning for people-to-people exchanges in universities, so as to discuss the development model and thoughts of Global University Alliance, and serve for the construction of the “Belt and Road” and the community with a shared future for mankind.
