On Sept. 28 – 29, Asia Waste to Energy Congress 2016 was held by SUEP and Environmental Protection Committee of Chinese Society of Power Engineering. About 100 delegates attended this meeting, including government officials, experts and enterprise representatives from Indonesia, Thailand, Pakistan, Vietnam, the United States, Germany and China. Li Yanling, Vice Chair of the SUEP Council addressed the welcome speech and Professor Pan Weiguo of SUEP, chief member of Environmental Protection Committee gave a report entitled “Think & Discussion on Circular Economy”.
In the congress many issues were discussed, including technology, management, policies and enterprise operation of transforming waste to energy, which would have great influence on waste treatment, environmental protection and human health.
