On the afternoon of March 4, SUEP held a deployment and mobilization meeting for online teaching through the network platform. More than 130 people attended the meeting, including Li Mingfu, secretary of the Party Committee of SUEP, Li Hexing, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of SUEP, Huang Dongmei, the vice president of SUEP, andleaders of secondary colleges and relevant departments as well as other related faculty and staff. The meeting was presided over by Huang Dongmei.
According to the notice issued by the Ministry of Education and arrangements made by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission during the epidemic period, SUEP had started to prepare for the online teaching since early February. And all the preparation work had been completed in an orderly and efficient manner, with the joint efforts of the Office of Academic Affairs, Office of Undergraduate Affairs, Office of Graduate Affairs and other functional departments, as well as all the secondary colleges of SUEP.
At the meeting, Li Mingfu put forward three requirements for the online teaching and pointed out that all of us need to work together to overcome the difficulties during the epidemic period. Li Hexing fully affirmed the effective preparation work of all secondary colleges, especially that the teachers were well prepared for online classes, and hoped that secondary colleges and relevant departments can continue to communicate and cooperate closely with each other. Huang Dongmei praised the positive contribution of all teachers and hoped that each college can bring forth new ideas to speed up the step of teaching reform and constantly improve the quality of teaching.
