At 1 p.m.on March 8, Li Mingfu, secretary of the Party Committee of SUEP, Li Hexing, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of SUEP as well as four teachers gave the “first online lesson” of SUEP through the network platform.More than 10,000 teachers and students joined in this class through the “cloud” and listened to this special lesson online.
Li Mingfu stressed that the situation about epidemic prevention and control was undergoing positive changes, but it was still in the critical period, so there was no room for us to relax our vigilance. In order to minimize the impact of the epidemic on teaching, SUEP decided to launch all-sided online teaching from March 9. Li Mingfu also put forward three requirements for students to study online: the first is to be self-disciplined; the second is to further improve yourself; and the last is to develop a strong sense of national identity. Li Hexing introduced a series of effective prevention and control work carried out by SUEP since the outbreak of the epidemic and shared his thoughts about the online teaching during the epidemic. In addition, the four teachers from the College of Marxism, the College of Electrical Engineering, the Psychological Counseling Center of Students Affairs Office, and the Sports Department respectively gave the participants four wonderful classes based on their own majors.
During the epidemic period, the students of SUEP fully enjoyed the happiness brought by the online teaching and new technology. We firmly believed that we will finally win the battle against the COVID-19!
