Teachers from College of Foreign Languages Start Online Teaching in Orderly Way

After more than one month’s preparation and repeated tests, over 200 courses from the College of Foreign Languages had satisfied the requirements to teach online, 78 of which were officially taught on the first day of online teaching, with a total of more than 3,000 students attending. After one week of practice, online courses from the College of Foreign Languages had been running smoothly and orderly, achieving good teaching effect through the active interaction between teachers and students.

 


On February 27th, the College of Foreign Languages held an online conference. The leading group of the College conveyed the work of epidemic prevention and online teaching, and required all the teachers to make full preparations for online teaching, as an effort to create excellent online courses and explore new carriers and methods for interactive teaching. Li Yanling, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of SUEP, attended the meeting, and she called on the teachers to take the initiative during the special period and adopt a highly responsible attitude to deliver every course.

In addition, many teachers of the College of Foreign Languages were at the United Kingdom as a visiting scholar during the winter vacation. Knowing that the school was going to carry out online teaching, they actively participated in the establishment of a transnational team and worked together with other teachers to build a cloud classroom.

The epidemic fighting is continuing. All the teachers of the College of Foreign Languages are also devoting themselves to this large-scale online teaching .
