Since the launch of online teaching, the teachers of SUEP had made great efforts to provide online courses for the international students all over the world. The College of Marxism undertook the task of teaching all Chinese and Chinese culture-related courses. The complexity of students, the large number of courses and the lack of online teaching resources made the teaching task more onerous. However, all kinds of difficulties in the transnational online teaching had been gradually resolved with the efforts of the teachers from Marxism College, who created high-quality online Chinese courses for the international students of our school.

Firstly, determine the best teaching method through repeated comparison. Due to the outstanding individual differences of students and the limited resources of online courses, it was impossible for them to share the courses, and the time zones and network technology also limited the way of live teaching. After multiple inquiries and repeated exercises, the teachers finally chose the tools of Wisdom Tree, Tencent Meeting and Wechat group.

Secondly, resolve the problem of lacking teaching materials. For language learners, teaching materials are indispensable. The teachers spent much time in preparing materials and resources for students in foreign countries: scanning texts page by page, selecting related audio-visual resources and recording teaching videos.

Thirdly, actively deal with online teaching challenges. Considering the time differences between countries, the teachers actively applied for adjustment of teaching arrangements according to students’ location and demands.

Lastly, trace the teaching effect in real time. The teachers repeatedly reminded the class time and operation steps in Wechat group before each class and explained the homework and completion time after class. The counselors from the College of International Exchange were also invited to join in the team of supervision; meanwhile, questions are answered online at any time.
