Shanghai Municipal Education Commission Inspects and Supervises SUEP’s Preparation for New Term in Epidemic Prevention and Control

In order to better guide colleges and universities to prevent and control the epidemic at the beginning of the new semester and ensure the safety of all teachers and students, Xuan Fuzhen, the deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Yu Nengwen, director of Policy and Regulation Division, Li Jinfu, the deputy director of Policy and Regulation Division, He Bin, the deputy director of Development Planning Division, and Wang Yinxu from the Logistics and Security Division came to our school on May 9 to inspect and supervise the epidemic prevention and control work. The people that accompanied the inspection team and participated in the discussion included Li Mingfu, secretary of the Party Committee of the university, Xu Kai, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and the vice president of the university, Feng Jinzhang, the vice president of SUEP as well as other staff of the relevant functional departments.

At the seminar, Feng Jinzhang reported on the school’s plans for starting the new semester during the epidemic prevention and control period, and pointed out that the school had held two rehearsals to make up for the omissions. Xu Kai noted that the epidemic prevention and control should be combined with the stable teaching order, and be closely connected with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in the area where the two campuses are located, so as to ensure timely and effective response to emergencies.

Xuan Fuzhen praised our school’s preparations for starting the new term, and stressed that school is a densely populated area, the prevention and control level of which should be higher than that of other public places. The school leaders at all levels should pay high attention to the epidemic prevention and control, and make full preparations for the opening of the school and normal management by strictly following the requirements of superiors.

Li Mingfu, on behalf of the school, thanked Shanghai Municipal Education Commission for its guidance on the school’s epidemic prevention and control and on the school’s preparations for starting the new term. He said that the school will strictly comply with the requirements and deployment of the Municipal Education Commission to ensure the safety of all teachers and students.
