On June 9, SUEP Party Committee Central Group for Theoretical Learning (expanded) held a study meeting at the Meeting Room of the Administrative Center on Yangpu Campus. Zhang Zhaoan, a representative of the National People’s Congress and the deputy dean of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, was specially invited to make a report on the spirit of NPC and CPPCC. More than two hundred people attended the meeting, including school leaders, secretaries of Party branches, teachers from the College of Marxism, as well as political and ideological instructors. Weng Peifen, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of SUEP, chaired the conference.
Zhang Zhaoan, as a witness and participant of the NPC and CPPCC, introduced the differences between this year’s and previous two sessions based on the epidemic prevention and control, and particularly emphasized the reform and innovation in ways and means through which the two sessions were held. “What touches me most is the changes brought about by the epidemic and the extent to which people’s well-being is reflected during the two sessions,” said Zhang. In addition, he interpreted the spirit of the speeches delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping respectively at the plenary meetings of Inner Mongolia delegation, Hubei delegation, the People’s Liberation Army delegation and the People’s Armed Police Force delegation.
On behalf of the Party Committee of SUEP, Weng Peifen thanked Zhang Zhaoan for his wonderful report. Weng also pointed out that the next year is the 70th anniversary of the founding of SUEP, and all the Party members and cadres should strive to build the school into a high-level application-oriented university, under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
