On November 6, 2020, at 2 pm CST, the closing ceremony of the second The Belt and Road Initiative International Energy and Power Business Decision Simulation Competition was held at the Yangpu campus of Shanghai Electric Power University.The closing ceremony took the form of online + offline in parallel. Nearly 200 people, including leaders of relevant domestic and international universities, participating teams, co-organizers, volunteers, media, and audiences, participated in the closing ceremony. This competition focuses on the The Belt and Road Initiative Electric Power University Alliance and The Belt and Road Initiative Electric Power Industry-University-Research Alliance initiated and established by the university in October 2018. Universities and enterprises at home and abroad jointly participate in the field of energy and power and explore a new international industry-university-research cooperation model. The planning stage of the competition lasted for six months. Two hundred contestants from ten universities and colleges from six countries and three domestic and international companies participated in the contest. The competition phase lasted for one month. Contestants gathered online to enrich professional knowledge and cultivate innovative thinking through the forms of cloud connection, cloud operation, and cloud presentation.
In the closing speech, Xu Kai first expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the domestic and foreign companies and universities that participated in the competition and mentioned that the contestants developed their teamwork and innovative thinking skills through this contest, and they have continuously improved themselves in the activity. Pan Hua reported on the overall situation of the game. Sri Mulyani Ak. CA (President of Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang in Indonesia) delivered a speech of thanks. She sincerely thanked Shanghai University of Electric Power for the invitation, students from various universities and the organizers for their hard work, support and contribution to this competition, and said that this competition is a great success of international cooperation, allowing more people to see the internationalization, exchange and cooperation, and to carry forward the spirit of energy and power innovation. The Belt and Road Initiative International Energy and Power Business Decision Simulation Competition is one of the important activities of The Belt and Road Initiative Electric Power University Alliance and The Belt and Road Initiative Electric Power Industry-University-Research Alliance in our school. The smooth progress of the competition has further consolidated the foundation of cooperation for the two international university alliances proposed by our school. In order to make the alliance cooperation continuous and the competition sustainable, the third The Belt and Road Initiative International Energy and Power Business Decision Simulation Competition in 2021 will be held at the Batangas State University in the Philippines.
