On the morning of July 2, the 2020 Postgraduate Graduation and Degree Awarding Ceremony was held at the Small Auditorium of Yangpu Campus. Li Mingfu, secretary of Party committee of SUEP, Li Hexing, president of SUEP, Weng Peifeng, deputy secretary of Party committee of SUEP, Xukai, vice president and deputy secretary of Party committee of SUEP, Feng Jinzhang, Fuyang and Huang Dongmei, vice presidents of SUEP, Zhangchuan, chief accountant of SUEP, heads of secondary colleges, representative of postgraduate supervisors and representative of postgraduate students attended the ceremony. Other postgraduate students and parents watched the ceremony online. The ceremony was presided over by Huang Dongmei.
On behalf of SUEP, Li Hexing expressed his warm congratulations to the graduates who had overcome the difficulties of the epidemic and successfully completed their studies and were about to start their career. He also extended his high respect and heartfelt thanks to the parents and supervisors of the postgraduate students who couldn’t attend the graduation ceremony. Li Hexing wished students do not be afraid of difficulties and keep learning in the future. He hoped that the students can not only have lofty aspirations and mind, but also uphold a diligent and pragmatic attitude towards life. Professor Chen Naichao, representative of postgraduate supervisors, extended his congratulations to the graduates and Jiang Cheng, representative of postgraduate students, expressed his sincere thanks to parents, teachers and friends.
After that, the degree awarding ceremony was held ceremoniously. Li Hexing read out the Decision on Awarding Master's Degree to Graduates of SUEP in 2020. A total of 610 graduate students received their master's degrees this year. To prevent and control the epidemic, the degree will be awarded in batches.
