On the morning of July 28, a seminar on the “14th five-year plan” for international exchange and cooperation was held at No.6 Conference Room in the Administrative Center on Yangpu Campus. Xu Kai, the vice president and deputy secretary of Party committee of SUEP, heads of the relevant departments, and persons in charge of foreign affairs of secondary colleges attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zeng Fenyu, director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.
At the seminar, Zeng first introduced the requirements of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission for formulating the “14th five-year plan”, and summarized the requirements of SUEP for the “14th five-year plan” for international exchange and cooperation from three aspects, namely, lofty, profound and grounded.
Around the construction of international teaching staff, academic exchange, talent training and English curriculum, the secondary colleges reported the achievements during the “13th five-year plan” period and the layout of the “14th five-year plan”, and analyzed the difficulties and challenges in the process of internationalization development. Then, the functional departments had an in-depth discussion and exchange with the secondary colleges on indicator evaluation system.
At last, Xu Kai made a concluding speech. He first pointed out the gap of international exchanges and cooperation between SUEP and similar colleges and universities in Shanghai. Then, he made three requirements for the “14th five-year plan”. Finally, he hoped that the functional departments and the colleges will fully coordinate and communicate with each other, so as to comprehensively improve the international exchange and cooperation progress of SUEP.
