The global spread of COVID-19 has brought unprecedented challenges to international cooperation. Nevertheless, SUEP rises to thedifficulties and bravely explores novel mechanismsof international talent training. After adequate communication and preparationin the early stage, the school successfully completed international talent training for Manado Power Plant in Indonesia. This training lasted 22 daysand involved more than 70 people. This is a new breakthrough made by SUEP in international talent training during the epidemic period.
The training projectis connected with domestic and foreign enterprises by the College of Continuing Education on behalf of SUEP. With the close cooperation of relevant departments and colleges, a number of senior professional teachers in SUEP explained the courses of electric power for Indonesian trainees in detail. The students not only had a comprehensive grasp of professional knowledge, but also realized the advancement of China in power technology.
This training adopted the method of transnational online teaching that covers four stages of attendance checking, online teaching, course examination and teaching evaluation, forming a complete closed-loop. SUEP held a number of cross-border onlinemeetings with the cooperators, and conducted several online technical guidance and simulation exercises for the trainees to guarantee the smooth running of the training.
The successful implementation of this training project is not only based on the international influence of the first international talent training base (Indonesia) established by SUEP last year, but also derived from SUEP's rich experience inelectric power talent training over the years. It is of great significance for SUEP to further implement the One Belt and Road initiative and inherit the electric power culture.
