With theissuance of the last batch of Admission Notice on September 8, the undergraduate enrollment and admission work in 2020, which lasted more than 30 days, had been successfully completed. In this year, a total of 2659 freshmen from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) were admitted to the school.
In the case of the epidemic and delay of the College Entrance Examination, the Admission Office of SUEP correctly grasped the enrollment reform and publicity. The quality of undergraduate students has been greatly improved compared with that of the previous years. The whole process of enrollment work showed the following characteristics: firstly, the Admission Office and secondary colleges worked together to open both online and offline enrollment publicity, overcoming the difficulty that the publicity groups could not go to the consultation points for face-to-face communication. Secondly, the Admission Office has started to carry out the application of the first batch of undergraduate enrollment in every province since 2015. After six years of efforts, SUEP has had the first batch of undergraduate enrollment in all provinces by 2020 except for the provinces that conducted the reform of the College Entrance Examination. Thirdly, SUEP has taken the initiative to respond to the changes of provincial policies in the reform of the College Entrance Examination, adjusted corresponding enrollment policies, and achieved good results. Last but not least, the students’ admission rank has moved forward obviously in some provinces, and the quality of students has continued to improve.
SUEP will continue to increase the information disclosure to facilitate candidates and parents to obtain the admission results in time. The school will welcome the 2020 freshmen on September 20.
