On the morning of November 13th Chinese-Australian University Presidents Forum was held at Edison Hall on the second floor of Training Center on North Yangpu campus. In the afternoon, Ying Yong, the Mayor of Shanghai, met with the delegation of Western Australia in Hengshan Hotel. Both sides expressed the wishes to actively promote exchanges and cooperation in education and humanities. Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Economic and Trade Cooperation with the Ministry of Employment, Tourism, Science and Technology and Innovation of Western Australia.
Li Mingfu, Party committee secretary of SUEP, made a speech at the beginning of the forum. On behalf of the school, he extended a warm welcome to all guests and pointed out that the bilateral relations between China and Australia entered a golden age.
At last, witnessed by all guests, Li Hexing, president of our school, and Deborah Terry, president of Curtin University, signed agreements on deeper cooperation. Both parties expressed their dedication to promoting the deep cooperation in student exchange, teacher training and academic research.
