SUEP Organized the Nineteenth National Conference on Electrochemistry & International Electrochemistry Forum on Energy and Environment

From December 1st to 4th, the 19th National Electrochemical Conference was successfully held in our school. This conference was hosted by Chinese Society of Electrochemistry, supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, organized by Shanghai University of Electric Power with the assistance of Fudan University. The subject of this conference was Electrochemistry and Sustainable Development. Meanwhile, our school and the Electrochemical Society (ECS) jointly held the International Electrochemistry Forum on Energy and Environment.

Leaders, academicians, professors and researchers from famous schools and institutes attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Xu Qunjie. Academician Chen Jun made an opening speech. Li Hexing, the president of Shanghai University of Electric Power, welcomed all the participants. Professor Cheng Danhong, deputy Party secretary of Shanghai Education Commission, expressed his sincere congratulations on the successful opening of the 19th National Conference on Electrochemistry. Other leaders also made their speeches. Finally, Professor Xia Yongyao, the chairman of the conference and director of Chinese Society of Electrochemistry, announced the winners of Electrochemical Achievement Award, Electrochemical Contribution Award, Electrochemistry Youth Award, the Outstanding Paper Award of Electrochemics and the Best Organization Award, and they were awarded by the guests and leaders. Xiamen University, Shanghai University of Electric Power and Nankai University respectively won the Best Organization Award, and SUEP also received an Excellent Poster Award.

The Conference is of great significance for pushing the revolution of energy production and consumption, building a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system and for sustainable development, and also plays an important role in promoting the integration and development of electrochemistry and related subjects.
