On the afternoon of March 14th, the symposium on Teacher's Work was held on Yangpu campus, which was chaired by Weng Peifen, the deputy secretary of party committee of SUEP. People in charge of Faculty Affairs Department (Personnel Department), Publicity Department and secondary colleges attended the meeting.
Chen Ling, the head of Faculty Affairs Department, made a speech at the meeting. She briefly introduced the work plans from such aspects as organization structure, work ideas and function orientation. A heated discussion was launched at the meeting about the assessment and evaluation system, political theory learning and so on. Weng Peifen highly affirmed the significance of establishing Department of Faculty Affairs and carrying out political education for teachers. He emphasized that we should pay high attention to training high-level personnel and young teachers, give full play to backbone teachers, and seize opportunities in the new era to deepen comprehensive education reform.
