President Li Paid a Visit of Shanghai Electric Power Co., Ltd. with a Delegation

On the afternoon of September 15th President Li Hexing paid a visit of Shanghai Electric Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SEP) with a delegation, among which there are Zhang Chuan, chief accountant of the university, and the concerned directors of the Office of University President, the Office of External Liaison, the Personnel Department and the College of Energy and Mechanical Engineering.They were received by Lin Hua, Party secretary of Shanghai Electric Power, Chen Wenhao, one of the company's Party committee members, deputy general manager and chief accountant, and the concerned directors of the Company Office, Department of Strategic Development, Department of Human Resources and Department of Thermal Power.

Lin Hua extended a warm welcome to President Li Hexing and all the other visitors. He introduced the recent development gained by the company and the strategic plans for the future. He claimed that Shanghai University of Electric Power is one of the most important bases in China to train technicians and professionals in the industry of electric power and conduct scientific and technological research, hoping that the both parties will keep a close touch, make joint efforts to train experts and specialists in the domains of electrical power, apply science and technology to practice, and co-work to achieve to materialize the scientific research results.

Li Hexing thanked Shanghai Electric Power for their hospitality and introduced the development and achievements of the university in recent years. He said that Shanghai University of Electric Power has been committed to cultivating talents with sound expertise and high general aptitude these years, hoping that both parties will continue to consolidate and develop a long-term and benign cooperative relationship, closely connect the development needs of enterprises, actively explore new possibilities of cooperation in the new situation, and join efforts to write a new chapter for the cooperation between universities and enterprises.

Zhang Chuan opined that the both parties have a lot of cooperation in talent training, faculty construction, student internship and social practice, and cultural exchanges between school and enterprise. She expected that the mutual cooperation will be strengthened in the future.
